It’s Only As Good As Your Memories

My writings are only as good as my memories.

Any observations I make, stories I create, conversations I replicate, are only as good as I can remember them.

A solution to this is to write them down (e.g., pen and paper, notes app, voice memos, etc.)

But unless your memory is good enough, writing them down can only do so much— you won’t capture the full thought.

A good memory is not required to become a good writer, but having one certainly helps the narrative.

Maybe that’s why memoirs are one of my favorite genres.

Here’s my quote for the day.

“Memories too often die with their owner, and time too often surprises us by running out.”
