The Battle That Will Make You Victorious

Today I struggled with what to write about. Not because I ran out of ideas (though I have plenty) but because I attempted to write about something short and direct. Because my topics and ideas are rather long and sometimes beating around the bush, I felt that a short one would be necessary.

Since I couldn’t think of one, I thought about walking away from the screen without even trying. I struggled for quite a bit until I decided to write about that experience.

Indeed, too many have walked away from their calling because they don’t believe they are prepared. While fear is a formidable and pervasive opponent, excuses are far more intimidating, especially when underestimating them.

The worst feeling is looking for more excuses when you ran out of them.

So whatever it is that makes you feel anxious and have your stomach churn, the mere act of being aware and showing up anyway is commendable, for you have done something rare and possibly life-changing. And to go through with it until it is over is even more impressive, for you have done something that separates you from your past self— the courage to dare.

Give yourself a pat on the back and be proud of what you did. Although it may feel minuscule in the grand scheme of things, that feeling will snowball into something big enough to where others will take notice.

You’ll eventually become the change you wanted.

TAKEAWAY: Showing up is the beginning of the battle; to stay in it until the end is an act of courage and fortitude. Therefore glory belongs to those who’ve endured.

Here is my inspiration for the day.
