The life of commerce does not spark my curiosity at the moment. I thought I would feel something —possibly nervousness or excitement —but I felt nothing of the sort.
My chance to leave a lasting impression on the largest company in the world —and with its CEO —was there for me to take. But I had no inclination to do so. This was revealing to me because I’m already in a position where I should be looking for better-paying, full-time jobs than the one I currently have.
Still, hearing the Hispanic panelists share their stories was great. It reinforces my belief in the power of stories. The theme seemed to be creating a sense of belonging, interestingly enough.
I’m far more interested in my North Star. At the very least, hearing their talks confirmed that what I’m doing is the appropriate path after all.
Of that, I can feel excited and nervous about.
