The cost of doing things on your own often is cheaper than buying the end product.
It costs $10 to purchase a McDonald’s meal, while it’s half the price to make your own.
Of course, there’s more work involved, and the time it takes is longer. But it gets shorter over time, and the work becomes more like play.
