Some traits of a culture are beneficial in some places and detrimental in others. The idea of collectivism from the east is respected and preferred. But if it’s even suggested, people from the west are quick to associate it with a certain economic system. Yet, collectivism works well in countries like Japan or Singapore.
Those that have figured out what traits are beneficial to their cultures thrive, while those that haven’t are suffering. What isn’t talked about is the idea of taking traits from various cultures that benefit us. If something from Germany works for its people, why not try it in another country like Mexico?
Culture is meant to be shared, after all.
The traits that make a country can also break them if they’re not willing to abandon them.
Here’s my inspiration for the day.
