A chosen profession is influenced by the generation you’re in, more so when family is involved.
Parents that chose an intensely labored profession, did so in hopes that their children choose a less intense profession. Parents working in an office environment, did so in hopes that their children pursue an even less intense (and perhaps artistic) profession.
We only want what’s best for the next generation. The process is a natural one.
