It’s Only A Day

My little brother wanted to spend his Sunday playing on his tablet. Unfortunately, he couldn’t because our parents took him to multiple events, preventing him from having any time at all to relax and play. They arrived home quite late, and he had to get ready for sleep as he would have school the next day.

He was rightfully upset. He never had the chance to play on his tablet the entire day and would have to wait until the next day once his school day finished.

As he was starting to cry, I told him, “it’s only a day.”

“It’s only a day when you can’t relax and do what you wanted to do. You can play tomorrow.”

This didn’t stop him from crying, but it did calm him down a little.

But it can’t be helped. There will be days where there won’t be time to relax and play. Maybe it’s possible the next day; maybe not.

Eventually, however, the days of work and exhaustion will be replaced with days of play and relaxation.

And you’ll notice it immediately.

Here’s my inspiration for the day.
