Just Another Day

To compare where I was exactly one year ago to today would be a bit odd. I mean, it has only been a year.

But that’s exactly why a comparison should be made— because many events have occurred in just one year.

Today I will have my interview for a role I’m most interested in. But I must remind myself that this is just another day.

There is a lot of work ahead of me, and regardless of their decision, I must accept the result and carry on.

There will be many roads that will lead to my North Star. If this one doesn’t work out, then just take another one.

I’m very fortunate in that aspect. To proudly tell others that I have work worth doing gives me the greatest fortune a man can yearn for.

Stand tall, Jose. You should be proud of what you have accomplished in a year. And if asked, share the story, because what is intimate to you may be an inspiration to another.

Far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.
