It’s mindblowing to think that it has not even been 100 years since the world was on the brink of destruction, that the most dangerous characters in history can still be described by those who were alive to witness such atrocities.
What is also mindblowing is how rapidly technology has progressed in that same timeframe. That there have been so many advancements, I feel, has diluted our sense of how recent historical events really were.
