Pay It Forward

Not paying it back.

Someone does us a favor, and it’s expected that we return the favor.

But what if instead of returning the favor, we give it to someone else?

What if we treat the next person instead of the one who treated us?

Instead of keeping the goodness within two individuals, why not share it with a third? And why can’t the third share it with a fourth, and so on?

Instead of keeping the goodwill to ourselves, I feel it’s more beneficial to share it with as many people as possible.

Of course, not all will respond back, let alone kindly. But there will be a few that will, and those few are enough to do something meaningful.

Movements have always begun in small rooms.
