Retirement Doesn’t Exist For The Enjoyers

I’ve wondered how retirement would play out for people who love their work.

Do they get restless?

Do they age faster?

Do they feel like an addict going through withdrawal symptoms?

Or can they relax without worries?

People who love their work have a hard time not working, because that’s all they ever think about.

And what’s this about waiting until you’re in your 60s to finally have time to do what you love?

Why wait for so long?

If you’re lucky, you’ll find work you love early on.

At worst, the work will feel like work.

At best, the work will feel like play.

And if it’s work you created for yourself, you can continue doing it for as long as you want.

Whenever.

Wherever.

Retirement doesn’t exist for the enjoyers.

They’re too busy doing what they love.

Here’s my quote for the day.

I’m always ‘working.’ It looks like work to others, but it feels like play to me. And that’s how I know no one can compete with me on it. Because I’m just playing, for sixteen hours a day.
