If I romanticized my process, what might that look like?
How would I feel when entering a space that is dedicated only to the creation of my intentions?
How would I appear to a passing stranger, or if there was a camera on me, documenting my process?
How could I explain to them what happens behind the scenes?
Behind every builder is the mind of an individual wrestling with his thoughts: trying one thing, ignoring another, feeling upbeat about this, and being depressed about that.
All of this is good. It’s what makes a story entertaining. It’s what keeps the watchers at the edge of their seats because they want this person to succeed.
Internalize what the watchers want for you.
Feel what they feel.
See what they see.
You’re given a chance to join the table of all the builders that came before you; they want to see a new spark rekindling the old flame.
But at the end of the day, work is work. But just think for a moment how privileged you are to work on something meaningful.
It’s a beautiful feeling to do something meaningful.
