Vinny Paz is a retired American Boxer who was at the peak of his career in the 80s and 90s. But a severe car accident in ’91 left him with a broken neck, convincing everyone that he could no longer return to the ring.
His relentlessness, unbound by critics, granted him an incredible comeback, two years after his accident. He went on to fight and win more than 20+ matches and was inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame in 2022.
A movie was released in 2016 called “Bleed,” detailing his comeback from his accident. There’s a scene that stood out to me where he’s asked what was the biggest lie they told him.
The biggest lie ever told?
“It’s not that simple.”
