The Bird That Stared

There was a bird standing on a telephone wire outside in the rain as I was driving. It stared at me. It did not move, nor did it flinch.

It just kept staring.

The bird looked as if it was watching over me.

It made me wonder if there is someone always watching over us. It doesn’t have to be God, or whatever you perceive him to be. It can be a friend, family member, animal, or even a plant. Perhaps life is best experienced if we act as if there is someone watching our actions. That way, it holds us accountable for everything we do or are planning to do.

There is a Chinese proverb that goes like this:

“If you don’t want anyone to find out about it, then don’t do it”

How simple life would be if we followed this advice.

TAKEAWAY: Live as if someone (or something) is watching you.

Here is my inspiration for the day.
