I knew someone in college who graduated two years before I did. A year after he graduated, he randomly showed up on campus, all excited to share an idea with a teacher he trusted.
He drove five hours from his new workplace to get feedback on his idea.
Before he met with the teacher, I asked, “What’s your business idea?”
“Can’t say. I don’t want to give it away.”
Perplexed, I changed the topic and asked how he had been.
Once he sat with the teacher, they talked for about an hour.
Then, they said their goodbyes, and he left.
To this day, I have never heard from him or his idea again.
I wonder if he has already built it. And if he hasn’t, would sharing it with others have helped him get further along?
Here’s my inspiration for the day.
If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.
