We often reserve the word ‘courage’ for moments of spectacle.
But most courage I’m now realizing is painfully ordinary.
It looks like showing up when no one is watching.
Like speaking gently instead of cleverly.
Like choosing patience when impatience would feel more powerful.
This kind of courage doesn’t make history books directly, but it does make character.
