Similar to the scientist wearing his lab coat or the construction worker wearing his work boots, your appearance is how people will perceive you.
But your statement need not be perceived outwards.
You could be recognized by your writings or by your character, too.
Your statement is what you do everyday.
Let that be how others perceive you.
