We’re taught to climb in life: to rise higher within a corporation, move to larger positions within academia, or grow our business as big as possible.
We forget to ask: who set the rules for what’s valuable?
Systems are designed to keep themselves running, not to help us thrive.
What would happen if you decided to create your own metrics for success?
What if your KPI was simply ‘I feel proud at the end of today’?
Would you still be chasing the same goals?
Or would you start building something that matters to you?
Here’s my quote for the day:
Not everything that can be measured counts, and not everything that counts can be measured.
